Blog Tour - Keeping Kate

About the book: Orphan Kate Evans is determined to make a life for herself on a Utah ranch, taking care of a little girl named Addie. But when she meets her irritable employer, Kate is forced to confront the past she's been running from and face a future she never dreamed possible. This latter-day twist on the classic Jane Eyre is a romantic and gripping read.

My review: I really enjoyed this book! I hadn't realized before I started to read that it was a twist on Jane Eyre, which was one of my favorite books as a girl. But as I was reading I kept thinking that it seemed kind of like Jane Eyre, so I'd have to say that Lauren Farnsworth did a great job staying true to the original book. I enjoyed the character of Kate, she's spunky and I really loved how she stays true to herself and her convictions throughout the whole book, even when faced with opposition from the little bit of family she had and friends she made along the way. I enjoyed the romance that was included in the book, there are a couple of different options for Kate, and she did a great job of falling for both of them. When I finished reading this one, I was left wanting more. I really hope that Lauren Farnsworth is planning to keep writing!

I was sent an e-copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
