Immersed tour

Immersed NewImmersed by Jennifer Griffith Lisette Pannebaker speaks five languages and has a brilliant business plan—personal language immersion. Clients can hire her to shadow them and speak all day in any language they need to learn for business or travel—whatever. But there’s a major hitch: she’s far too pretty. Clients with less than honorable intentions sign up just have Lisette at their side. Solution? A make-under. Way under. It works like a charm. None of her male clients show her the least bit of interest. Until… Erik. Erik Gunnarsson is charming, kind, and smart—everything she’s ever looked for. Even though he seems to have a secret and she swore she'd never date a client, Lisette is tempted to shed her disguise—even if it means jeopardizing her career.

My Review: Lisette has just graduated from college and she has the best idea for a business, but her mom isn't so sure that it's a great idea. Her mom would rather she work for the family business Pannebaker Capital, but she agrees to allow her to try it, with some conditions. She needs to make things work, pay off her student loans and pay her mom back for her start-up capital within three years, or she has to work at Pannebaker. Lisette knows that will never happen, her business will work great. She plans to help her clients learn a language by immersing them in it, it's a great idea, for someone who's not as pretty as Lisette is, Lisette's clients just see her as a pretty face or maybe even as an object to be used. That's when she comes up with working in a disguise. She'll disguise herself as the ugliest woman you can imagine and see what happens then. It works, to a point, and then she gets a new client, Erik Gunnarsson, he's amazing looking with the best personality and she knows that she would love to be with him forever. But could he ever see beyond her disguise?

This is the first book I've read by Jennifer Griffith, and I can't wait to read more! I really enjoyed her characters, Lisette is a great character,  I really loved her spunk! I loved that she was willing to try a business that no one else really thought could ever work. I really liked Erik too, he's the awesome Scandinavian boy next door. I liked the plot, this was a really fun book! I'm way sad to see this series end, but excited to have found some great new authors.

I was sent an e-copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

unnamedFDRE9K6NAuthor Jennifer Griffith Jennifer Griffith studied French, German, Japanese, and a wee bit of Spanish in her school days. Her grandmother was Norwegian, and Jennifer grew up with lots of Scandinavian traditions floating around, including fabulous cardamom laced cookies called Krumkaker, made on a fancy waffle iron. However, she’d never dream of trying to teach someone any of those languages. And she might botch the cookies. Instead, she writes novels in English, drives her five kids a million places, and laughs with her husband, who came up with the plot for Immersed because he’s just a cool muse like that.
